About a few weeks ago, the core members of UPBatibot all agreed to have a meet-up every Friday of the week. Updates, upcoming plans, and some good time were mainly the reasons for holding such get-togethers. Unsurprisingly, it gets better every week.

We all agreed to meet up at around 5:30 PM, with Klang-klang and Kirstin to follow by 6PM since they had prior arrangements (go Argentina). As it turned out, our plan to hold it in a coffee shop seemed to turn into a shop-hop and quite an adventure. Once we found out that Bo's Coffee and Figaro were both laden with wi-fi users, we decided to scour the rest of the mall, hoping to find a place where ten people could snugly sit in and have a laid-back meeting.

We first settled down on this shop below Roma Mia, whose name currently escapes me. However, we didn't feel the comfort we were looking for, so we decided to check out Coffee Bean since a friend of ours told us there was a place over there. However, when we got there we found out that the place was cramped as well, so we were left to wonder where to go next.

We did try to go check out UCC, a cool, Japanese-themed place near the entrance to Marriot Hotel. We got to settle down there, too. However, we found out almost a bit too late that their Wi-Fi had problems, and we needed the connection. Talk about an adventure, huh?

Anyways, we found out that Coffee Bean already had a place. I decided to go ahead and check it out first, so as to save us all another walk. Thankfully, there was space good for ten people, so we settled down there and proceeded with the meeting. Oh yeah, this was around quarter to seven, so we had cheesecakes so as to hold back the hunger for a bit.

The meeting was a blast. As a back-end person desperately wanting a front-end role, I could really tell that we were leveling-up greatly productivity-wise. We had our long-sought-after writers in Ella Beverly Sarmago and Nico Antonio Sagun (who unfortunately couldn't make it this time), and even a surprise in John Paul Catubig. Keeshia, who we still had to meet, wasn't able to make it too because of some communication problems. However, the usual cast was there – Klang-klang, Kirstin, Jedah, Pao, Nico, and me. It was at Coffee Bean that we gave ourselves new nicks for the site, and a certain one username which we all agreed was just not right (hint:color).

It would be unfair for the team if we disclosed our plans for that night, yet I will assure you that we have big things coming up along with the big events soon to happen. We did get to share a few laughs though, which more than made up for any inconvenience that previous adventure walk brought.

After all the official business matters were discussed, we proceeded to Yellow Cab and have a pizza – or two. Honestly, we were famished from the whole thing, so there was nothing that would stop us from devouring some food. And devour it we did.

FYI, this was the second one.

All in all, I think it's safe to say that we all had a good time – something which goes in tune with the concept that UPBatibot was formed with. We, as a team, will hopefully be able to bring the lighter side of UP Cebu (and maybe the better side, too) to the community. This may be online for now, but who knows what the future could bring. It never hurts to dream, right? And while we're at it, let's make use of the opportunity and dream big instead. After all, this is a labor of love, and we all know how strong love can be.
